Life Is A Hurdle

Life Is One Big Hurdle...

I read a quote online that said very simply:

"Life is a hurdle race.  When you look back over your shoulder, you see all the hurdles you have already made it over.  This should inspire you for all the hurdles that are ahead of you for you should KNOW from the past that you can climb over any hurdle that comes your way."

This quote reminded me of Daddy telling us throughout our lives that Granddaddy always said, "don't look at the fence row look at the post in front of you and you'll get to the end a lot faster".  Essentially my interpretation of Daddy/Granddaddy's wisdom is that if you look down the row at what's ahead you'll get frustrated and depressed as the anxiety of the task ahead of you is disparaging;  however if you look at the post in front of you not only will the task end faster you'll stay motivated until the end.  So I figured in short, that when something bad happens you have three choices:

You can either let it define you

Let it destroy you, or

You can let it STRENGTHEN you!

I chose STRENGTH!  I choose to look over my shoulder and acknowledge the hurdles I have crossed then smile at the hurdles to come!  Just remember...
